Your minis deserve better.

You've spent hours on that paintjob. Weeks on that army. And yet somehow your desk still looks like a craft supply explosion in a cupboard.

Tygo makes premium walnut accessories for the hobby desk — the kind of things you don't need, but can't quite justify not owning once you've seen them.

Made properly, or not at all.

Every Tygo product is CNC-machined from solid walnut and maple. Not a mix for the sake of it — walnut is dark, dense, and does most of the heavy lifting. Maple is lighter and cleaner, and shows up where the contrast earns its keep. Sometimes as an accent. Sometimes, like on The Keep, split straight down the middle.

Both timbers are machined to precision, because a CNC doesn't struggle with measurements that aren't a multiple of 10. Then hand sanded before being finished with Danish Oil and Bees Wax, because we want to take all the credit before the machines inevitably take over.

No MDF. No ply. Nothing that came out of a nozzle.

The bit where we're honest with you.

You could use an Ikea hack. A take away container. Or the box your last order came in. Plenty of people do, and their armies look just as good as yours will.

But if you're the kind of person who cares about the quality of their brushes, the consistency of their basing mix, and whether their wet palette is actually airtight — you already know this isn't really about what's practical.

It's about the desk you want to sit down at.

FAQs

Everything you wanted to know but were too busy painting to ask.

Orders & Lead Times

How long will my order take?
Tygo products are made to order, which means yours doesn't exist yet. Each piece is CNC-machined from solid walnut and maple, then hand-sanded and finished with Danish Oil and Beeswax before it ships. From order to dispatch, expect around two weeks. You'll get a shipping notification when it's on its way.

Can I get it faster?
If you need something by a specific date — a birthday, an event, a moment of weakness you've committed to — drop us a message before ordering and we'll let you know if we can make it work. No promises, but we'll try.

Can I cancel or change my order?
If your order hasn't gone into production yet, yes. Get in touch as soon as possible and we'll sort it. Once it's on the machine, we can't stop it — mostly because it would be a waste of perfectly good walnut.

The Products

What are the products made from?
Solid walnut and maple. The combination varies by product — sometimes walnut does most of the work with maple as an accent, sometimes, like on The Keep, it's split straight down the middle. Either way, no MDF, no ply, nothing that came out of a nozzle.

How are they finished?
Every product is CNC-machined for precision, then hand-sanded and finished with Danish Oil and Beeswax. The oil brings out the grain. The wax protects it. The hand-finishing is what makes the difference between a product and an object worth owning.

How should I look after them?
Keep them away from prolonged moisture — they're not cutting boards, but they don't love sitting in a puddle of spilled Lahmian Medium either. An occasional wipe with a little beeswax or furniture wax will keep them looking good. They'll develop a patina over time, which is either a feature or a flaw depending on your outlook.

Will the products damage my paints or minis?
No. The Danish Oil and Beeswax finish is fully cured before shipping. Your Citadel pots are safe. Your minis are safe. Your hobby budget, however, is your own problem.

Shipping & Returns

Where do you ship to?
Currently shipping within the UK. International shipping is coming — if you're outside the UK and desperately need one, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

How much is shipping?
Free on orders over £X. Standard shipping on everything else. Exact rates shown at checkout.

What if my order arrives damaged?
That would be annoying for both of us. Get in touch with photos within 48 hours of delivery and we'll make it right. Either a replacement or a refund — your call.

Can I return a product if I change my mind?
Because everything is made to order, we can't accept returns for change of mind. If there's a fault or the product isn't as described, that's a different matter entirely — see above.

The Brand

Where are you based?
UK-based. Products are made here too.

Are these suitable as gifts?
Absolutely. If you know someone who spends more on brushes than most people spend on shoes, this will make sense to them immediately. We don't currently offer gift wrapping, but the packaging is nice enough that it barely matters.

I have a question that isn't here.
Get in touch at via the contact page. We're a small operation so responses might take a day or two, but we do actually reply.
